This is yet another year of my Chinese New Year spent in Singapore.
Its the Dragon Year, which i am truly excited about.
I am turning 24 this year!! Age is really catching up. Shall treasures this last few youthful years of mine.
So this year as usual, my parents together with my youngest sister went to Malaysia for their annual CNY gathering with my aunties.
As no one was home with me during the CNY, i joined my Boyfriend family for the 2 precious day of CNY public holiday.
I went over to his place on eve. I have so much things to prepare for my CNY that night.
I have to paint my nails, trim my brows, do my mask etc.
Painting of my nail was a chores as its very time consuming. End up, i only paint it red. No Blings at all. But still, i was so tired painting it and waiting for it to dry that i literally fell asleep with my 2 hands hanging in mid-air. Guess that as much as i would want my sleep, i do not wish to ruin my just painted nails.
Day 1
So day 1 of CNY, i woke up at about 8am, when i slept only at 3am. My BF was up and out earlier to send his dad for 'marketing".
Once up, i washed up and started preparing for my dressing up and make up.
I took no pictures on my first day of CNY as it was mostly house visiting.
Actually, i was really awkward whenever his relatives entered the house and send their CNY greeting by handshakes. I will received puzzled stares and whispering sound when they saw me. Like who is this girl here?
Sigh, wasn't comfortable at all. But i need to stay through still. Well, the Angbaos returns do pay off quite well. ha ha.
After the visiting, went back to his place. I was feeling rather sick with a heavy head. So BF took me out for dinner before returning home to rest.
Day 2
Woke up feeling fresh! Bf family wanted a Dim sum gathering but failed as they wasn't able to
secure any restaurant reservation.
So we hang around his house till late afternoon. Then we headed to the Marina Bay for the HongBao River.
BF took me up to the esplanade rooftop for this shoot.

Heading to the River Angbao!

All bright and colourful!

There's lots of activities going on there. Funfair games, live demonstration of handicraft work, food and lots of big beautiful lanterns!
So definitely must take pictures with some of the lantern right?
Here you go!

Must take picture with the Dragon, since its its year (and mine too)!

BF and me with the little dragon! love it!

This is how this year God of Fortune look like. Its know as the 武财神.
Heard from the introduction that its the first time they have this during the River Angbao . It is to symbolized Singapore fighting spirit despite the upcoming economic downturn.

The
财神 together with the city skyline.
Look so mighty and fierce.

If you never took a picture with the
财神, it means you haven been to the River Angbao. *snap*

But am still more used to the traditional
财神.
Taken at the FU Lu Shuo lantern structure.

Take a break and have a drink. Because its super tiring and hot walking around there.

One last picture before we head over to MBS for some air-con! Its a silly picture of me though. Trying to open my mouth big like the statu to "suck" in all the good fortune and luck!

Yes! finally some air-con @ MBS

MBS actually planted in some surprises for its visitors by having Mr Dragon Mascot! He dun mind sharing his big gold with me. LOL.

Here is another mascot. The little god of fortune is so playful. He make funny faces. LOL
That all my sharing for the 2 PH of CNY. But will be posting more of my other days soon.
I hope you enjoyed yours too!
