I traveled to Hong Kong from 2dec to 6Dec 2011. There were 6 of us in the trip. 2 guys (including my boyfriend and his buddy) and 4 girls. It was during their cool weather season. Temperature were between 12 to 18 degree. But we felt very chilly despite wearing layers of clothes. Especially during the night when the wind blow. Maybe we wasn't used to below 20 degree temperature since it is always hot in Singapore.
The trip was fun due to the great companies. We had much laughter, walking, joking, eating, photo taking (tons of it) and complaining.
Complain about what?!
Haha.. complain about the long walking journey, hungry stomach, and each other little habits.
But it was all harmless. And i guess we grew closer together through the trip.
So lets start on our travel itineraries.
Day 1 (2Dec 2011): Tour Guide: Helene
Arrived in Hong Kong about 530am. (yes! we took a mid-night flight)
We headed to our hotel, Largos Hotel, located at Jordan area.

We took the shuttle bus service. Well, My darling told us it only take 5min to reach and we will arrived right outside the hotel. But that was not the situation. The ride took us half an hour. Most of them were tired from the mid night flight and took this power sleep in the bus. I was awake so i secretly took some photo of them.

After we checked in, we went to have breakfast at a nearby Chinese restaurant. The Dim Sum weren't fantastic but it was cheap as it only cost us S$8 each.
After Breakfast, we started out the long journey to Nyong Ping, the Giant Buddha. We took the cable car ride up the hill. Ying Wei told us it is a crazy idea to climb up. We totally agreed with him as we saw the long trail up while on the ride.
Those who decided to climb, and halfway through they decided to quit, No way!!! cos the journey to walk back would be too long and same if they decided to continue. I think i would cry if they told me to climb. Thanks Ying wei!!

My Darling were freaking out from the height of the cable car. Haha. So funny.
Finally, after 30 min of the cable car ride, we saw the Giant Buddha!!! Yes, a Cable car ride take 40 min to bring you up the mountain. Imagine if you choose to walk.... Well try only if you got super leg.
Food we tried at the Nyong Ping Village. Actually Yingwei promised vegetarian meal when we were there. But due to insufficient research, we end up with bean curd for lunch.. sobz. But it was rather nice.
Of course, how can that be enough to fill the stomach of the 2 guys (of cos me too). So upon seeing some barbequed squid for sale, who can resist?
