Hong kong 2011 - day 1

This is an out dated post about my trip to Hong Kong last December (2011).

I traveled to Hong Kong from 2dec to 6Dec 2011. There were 6 of us in the trip. 2 guys (including my boyfriend and his buddy) and 4 girls. It was during their cool weather season. Temperature were between 12 to 18 degree. But we felt very chilly despite wearing layers of clothes. Especially during the night when the wind blow. Maybe we wasn't used to below 20 degree temperature since it is always hot in Singapore.

The trip was fun due to the great companies. We had much laughter, walking, joking, eating, photo taking (tons of it) and complaining.

Complain about what?!

Haha.. complain about the long walking journey, hungry stomach, and each other little habits.
But it was all harmless. And i guess we grew closer together through the trip.

So lets start on our travel itineraries.

Day 1 (2Dec 2011): Tour Guide: Helene
Arrived in Hong Kong about 530am. (yes! we took a mid-night flight)
We headed to our hotel, Largos Hotel, located at Jordan area.

We took the shuttle bus service. Well, My darling told us it only take 5min to reach and we will arrived right outside the hotel. But that was not the situation. The ride took us half an hour. Most of them were tired from the mid night flight and took this power sleep in the bus. I was awake so i secretly took some photo of them.

After we checked in, we went to have breakfast at a nearby Chinese restaurant. The Dim Sum weren't fantastic but it was cheap as it only cost us S$8 each.
After Breakfast, we started out the long journey to Nyong Ping, the Giant Buddha. We took the cable car ride up the hill. Ying Wei told us it is a crazy idea to climb up. We totally agreed with him as we saw the long trail up while on the ride.

Those who decided to climb, and halfway through they decided to quit, No way!!! cos the journey to walk back would be too long and same if they decided to continue. I think i would cry if they told me to climb. Thanks Ying wei!!

My Darling were freaking out from the height of the cable car. Haha. So funny.

Finally, after 30 min of the cable car ride, we saw the Giant Buddha!!! Yes, a Cable car ride take 40 min to bring you up the mountain. Imagine if you choose to walk.... Well try only if you got super leg.
Food we tried at the Nyong Ping Village. Actually Yingwei promised vegetarian meal when we were there. But due to insufficient research, we end up with bean curd for lunch.. sobz. But it was rather nice. Of course, how can that be enough to fill the stomach of the 2 guys (of cos me too). So upon seeing some barbequed squid for sale, who can resist?

Kate spade Mook

I am really excited to share with u my recent buy from Kinokuniya. Well actually i bought 2 items from KiNo, but i am more bias toward this one. Maybe i would do a review about the other in another post.

I first saw this bag when i bought my another agnes mook. I hesistated but was really bitting my lips on a decision on whether to get it. It cos $50+ which i felt was pricey. Although there is a voice in me, pyschoing me tat its a kate spade!!

I didnt get it in my 1st round cos i decided to put it into my Christmas Wishlist, hoping for some santa love. Christmas was around the corner then, and i got a few christmas exchange event to handle.

Well i didnt get it via the wishlist channel. But i did received some other really fanstatic gifts that i longed to have. Shall share that in another post.

I was totally lucky that particular day while out shopping. I actually chance upon the Watson's Member private sales at bugis. Have been a watson member for quite some time but always didnt get the chance to visit their private sales. So i dashed in when i saw it.

And i was determined to get to kinokuniya to see n perharp get the Kate spade Mook already. I was thinking of loitering around the cashier to see if i could borrow a membef card so that i could get some discount off the retail price.

Well, i really did managed to get hold a pretty gal to lent me her member card. I was embarrassed by my action but still i wanne get my mook at a discounted price. So when i get to the cashier, i was told that the card was unneeded and they are having a 20% storewide sale. That would mean i had embarassed myself unnesessy!!!

But still i was jumping in joy with the new. So i only got my mook at $40+!!! What a bargain! Happy to the max!

I got home and open the packing excitedly. And that the bag!! Its really nice! True to the picture shown. Tottally worth the price, when it was before discount. Therefore the discount was a bonus to me!

I am carrying it right now and i love it being so roomy n pretty, the prints was sweet n loud, the size was just right for me! The only down side, it does not have a zipper to close it. But its fine since i dun really zip my bag.

Enough said. Its pictures time!

Shopping Time

Oh my god!!!

The chinese new year is less than a month from now. And its going to be the year of the Dragon! That make me turning 24?!!

I cant believe this. I mean i still feel young and do not feel like i am 24 yet. Well, but really, i did survived the world for 2 cycles of the Dragon Year. Gosh!

So since the chinese new year is nearing, its time for some shopping!

Actually i do have quite a bagful of brand new clothes in my closet. But i do still wish to shop for one perfect dress, specially for CNY. So i went for some retail therapy.

However, i wasnt able to find that perfect dress yet, but managed to see some clothes that is to my liking.

Went to foever 21 at 313 Somerset and saw this top. I love the collar details. But feel that its rather pricely cos i would not be wearing it that often, which would not make it worthwhile. But i took some pictures of it to show.

Need to continue to hunt for my perfect CNY dress.

critiria: in a festive color. No black or white. Does not appear too 夸张, can suite for normal everyday wear. Maybe a quality pieces with good material.

Till then.
